Horse Agility

Would you like to compete in a new and exciting horse sport without having to ride?

Horse Agility has become a popular competitive sport in Europe and is now available in the USA.  All breeds and sizes welcome from miniatures to full sized horses even donkeys and mules.  Horses and handlers compete on the ground through an obstacle course. Lower level rounds are judged and higher level rounds are scored on a combination of judge's impression and speed.

Horse Agility is an exciting way to have fun with your horse without having to ride and is great for horses that are unable to be ridden for behavioral or physical reasons, ponies that are too small for the owner to ride or for people who can't or don't want to ride and even for those who ride but want to try something new. It gives everyone the chance to compete without having to ride or spend hours grooming and preparing their horse for the show ring.

Horse Agility comprises a variety of obstacles for the horse to complete, at the higher levels this is against the clock which makes it a great spectator sport in which to participate. Horse Agility tests your horse's physical as well as his emotional fitness and tests your ability as a handler to keep your horse traveling safely over the course effectively and with style.

I am so excited to be accepted as a trainer for the "Horse Agility Club" for the USA, this is the first International competitive equestrian sport to reward relationship building, communication and connection. I was accepted into the organization because of my 30 plus years of extensive knowledge working with horses and the ability to work with them earning their trust therefore building a partnership that lasts a lifetime. In my program I use clicker training combined with natural horsemanship which is a great combination for horses to understand the Horse Agility course.  

How can you get involved with the Horse Agility Organization? You can go to their website and join there. I would greatly appreciate it if joining through their site if you would give them my name and let them know you found their site from my web page. Each month they will host an online video competition that you can do in your own back yard. Once you become a member you will be sent a membership package with your member number. Horse Agility is a new sport to the USA but is growing by leaps and bounds and soon you will be able to join a local club and then participate in local, regional and national competitions.
